Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP-UX, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the Support Tools Manager (xstm, cstm, stm) application. This can be exploited by local users to cause a DoS.

The vulnerability has been reported in HP-UX B.11.11, and B.11.23.

Solution:
Apply patches.

HP-UX B.11.11:
Install PHSS_34288 or later.

HP-UX B.11.23:
Update to B.11.23.07.04, STM version C.53.00 or later.
