|
|
Description: FishNet Security has reported some vulnerabilities in Cisco CallManager, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Some input passed in the Cisco CallManager web interface is not properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Examples:
http://[host]/ccmadmin/phonelist.asp?findBy=description&match=begins&pattern=[code]
http://[host]/ccmuser/logon.asp?userID=&password=&MadeUpParameter=[code]
Some other unspecified scripts are reportedly also affected.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 3.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Filter traffic to the Cisco CallManager web interface and do not follow links from untrusted sources while having access to the Cisco CallManager web interface.
The vulnerabilities will reportedly be fixed in versions 4.3(1), 4.2(3), 4.1(3)SR4, and 3.3(5)SR3 soon.
Provided and/or discovered by: Jake Reynolds, FishNet Security.
