Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in GL-SH Deaf Forum, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "sort" parameter in show.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed to the "search", "page", and "action" parameters in show.php is also not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
3) Input passed to the parameter "search" in search.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
4) The application does not properly restrict access to the upload.php script. This can be exploited to e.g. upload offensive images by accessing the script directly.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 6.4.3 and 6.5.5. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Restrict access to the upload.php script.
