Description: Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in DeluxeBB, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "xmsn" parameter in cp.php when updating the personal settings isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
This can further be exploited to create an account with administrative privileges.
2) Input passed to the "to" parameter in pm.php isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.07. Other versions may also be affected.
