| CVE reference: | CVE-2006-3282 CVE-2006-3284
|
|
Description: Ellipsis Security has reported some vulnerabilities and a weakness in Dating Agent PRO, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose system information and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "login" parameter in index.php and search.php isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) The problem is that it is possible to view certain system information returned by the "phpinfo()" function by accessing the requirements.php script directly.
The vulnerabilities and the weakness have been reported in version 4.7.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and restrict web access to the requirements.php script.
Provided and/or discovered by: Ellipsis Security
Changelog: 2006-06-30: Added CVE references.
