Description: David "Aesthetico" Vieira-Kurz has reported a vulnerability in AutoRank Pro, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "Username" parameter in admin/main.cgi is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability has been reported in versions 5.0.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Filter malicious characters and character sequences with a web proxy.
Provided and/or discovered by: David "Aesthetico" Vieira-Kurz
