Description:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Invision Power Board, which can be exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed via the URL when adding an avatar isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) An unspecified error in the permission handling can be exploited by moderators to moderate an arbitrary forum without proper permissions.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.1.6 (before 2006-06-30) and prior for the 2.1 branch.
