Description:
Three vulnerabilities have been discovered in Outpost Firewall Pro, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

1) The application windows run with SYSTEM privileges and the application does not check if explorer.exe is running before taking certain actions. This can be exploited to launch explorer.exe with SYSTEM privileges by terminating it and then using the "open folder" option in e.g. the "Shared Components" window.

2) The application doesn't properly restrict users from executing arbitrary commands when adding new shared components. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges via the "Add..." feature in the "Shared Components" window.

3) The application doesn't properly restrict users from running arbitrary programs, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands with SYSTEM privileges by e.g. crafting a batch file executing cmd.exe and then move another file over this file inside Explorer via the "Save Configuration As..." functionality or similar.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 3.51.759.6511 (462). Other versions may also be affected.
