Description:
Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities in OpenMPT, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a user's system.

1) Various boundary errors in the "CSoundFile::ReadITProject()" function in soundlib/Load_it.cpp can be exploited to cause buffer overflows via a malicious ITP file.

2) A boundary error in the "CSoundFile::ReadSample()" function in soundlib/Sndfile.cpp can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow when reading certain specially crafted modules.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerabilities have been reported for version 1.17.02.43. Other versions may also be affected.

Do not open untrusted files.
