Description:
Tavis Ormandy has reported a vulnerability in ncompress, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "decompress()" function in compress42.c and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow when decompressing a specially crafted datastream.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
