Description:
Pentest Limited has reported a vulnerability in Sony SonicStage Mastering Studio, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when importing project files (.smp). This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into importing a specially crafted project file.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 1.1.00, 1.2.00, 1.2.01, 1.2.02, 1.3.00, 1.4.00, 1.4.01, 1.4.02, 1.4.03, 2.0.00, 2.1.00, 2.1.01, and 2.2.01.
