Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in the Globus Toolkit, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive information or perform certain actions with escalated privileges.

1) A race condition exists in the grid-proxy-init tool between opening the proxy credential file and verifying it's permissions before writing into it. This may be exploited to gain knowledge of sensitive information.

2) Various applications of the Globus Toolkit create temporary files insecurely in the "/tmp" directory. This can be exploited via symlink attacks to create or overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of the user running the applications.
