Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Xsan Filesystem, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the Xsan Filesystem driver when processing path names and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow.

Successful exploitation may cause a vulnerable system to crash or allow execution of arbitrary code with system privileges, but requires write access to an Xsan volume.
