Description:
PrOtOn and digi7al64 have reported a vulnerability in BlackBoard Learning and Community Portal Systems, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.

Postings to the discussion board are not properly sanitised before being saved. This can be exploited to execute certain HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site when the malicious data is viewed.

The vulnerability has been reported in Blackboard Learning System (Release 6) and Blackboard Learning and Community Portal (Release 6) 6.2.3.23.
