Description: Oliver Karow has reported a vulnerability in MaxDB, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in WebDBM when processing database names. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via an HTTP request containing an overly long database name.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with privileges of the "wahttp" process.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 7.6.00.22. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 7.6.00.31 or later.
