Description: s3rv3r_hack3r has discovered a vulnerability in php download script, which can be exploited by malicious people to manipulate sensitive information.
Input passed to the "file" parameter in download.php isn't properly verified, before it is used to write a counter value to a file. This can be exploited to set the content of arbitrary files to "1" via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in the latest available version. Other versions may also be affected.
