Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Beautifier, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed to the "BEAUT_PATH" parameter in Beautifier/Core.php and HFile/HFile_xhtml11.php, and potentially more files isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled and that the vulnerable library is placed accessible inside the web root.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 0.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
Set "register_globals" to "Off".
Move the affected library out of the web root.
