Description: Three vulnerabilities have been discovered in Fantastic News, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system and to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "CONFIG[script_path]" parameter in archive.php and headlines.php isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
2) Input passed to the "id" parameter in news.php when "action" is set to "profile" is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows retrieval of password hashes.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.1.4. Other versions may also be affected.
