| CVE reference: | CVE-2006-4748
|
|
Description: Omid has discovered some vulnerabilities in BLOG:CMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "pitem" parameter in the NP_Poll plugin when voting, the "User-Agent" and "Referer" HTTP headers, and via the URL and the attacker's hostname in the NP_Log plugin, and via the URL in the NP_Referrer plugin isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 4.1.0. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 4.1.1.
Provided and/or discovered by: Omid
Changelog: 2006-09-18: Added CVE reference.
