Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in TWiki, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.

Input passed to the "filename" parameter in the viewfile script isn't properly sanitised before being used to view files. This can be exploited to disclose the content of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.

Example:
http://[host]/bin/viewfile/TWiki/TWikiDocGraphics?rev=1;filename=../../../../../[file]

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 4.0.0 through 4.0.4.

Solution:
Apply Hotfix 3 for TWiki 4.0.4.
