Description:
Netragard has reported a vulnerability in Roxio Toast Titanium, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to the "dejavu_manual.rb" Ruby script being created insecurely in the "/tmp" directory. This can be exploited via a race condition to execute arbitrary code with root privileges when an administrator does a manual backup in Deja Vu.

Some other Ruby scripts may also be created insecurely.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 7. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
