Description:
James Bercegay has reported a vulnerability in Caroline, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "extAuthSource['newUser']" parameter in inc/claro_init_local.inc.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.7.7. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.7.8.
