Description: Avinash Shenoi has discovered some vulnerabilities in Blojsom, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the "blog-category-description" and "blog-category-name" form-field parameters when adding a category, and to the "blog-entry-title" and "technorati-tagsi" form field parameters when adding a new entry is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in an administrative user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
Successful exploitation requires privileges to add categories and new blog entries.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.31. Other versions may also be affected.
