Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error when processing certain IPv6 packets. This can be exploited to cause a system panic by sending specially crafted IPv6 packets to an affected system.

The vulnerability affects Sun Solaris 10 for the x86 platform with IPv6 enabled.

Solution:
Disable IPv6 or apply patch 118855-16 or later.
