Description: Omid has discovered a vulnerability in PostNuke, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "hits" parameter in modules/Downloads/admin.php when adding a download is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires privileges to the administrative download module.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.762. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 0.763 or later.
Provided and/or discovered by: Omid
Changelog: 2006-10-03: Added CVE reference.
2006-10-18: Updated "Solution" section.
