Description: Hessam-x has reported some vulnerabilities in OlateDownload, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "description_small" parameter in userupload.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when malicious data is viewed.
2) Input passed to the "page" parameter in details.php and the "query" parameter in search.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by inserting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 3.4.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 3.4.1.
Provided and/or discovered by: Hessam-x
Changelog: 2006-10-09: Added CVE references.
2006-10-11: Updated "Solution" section.
