Description: Kevin Finisterre has reported a vulnerability in OpenBase, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when invoking /Library/OpenBase/bin/gnutar, which allows to run gzip without an absolute filename. This allows execution of arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
The vulnerability is reported in version 9.1.5. Other versions may also be affected.
