Description:
b0rizQ has discovered a vulnerability in phplist, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "p" parameter in index.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user in an error message. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Successful exploitation requires that the user is running a browser that has not URL-encoded the request (e.g. Internet Explorer).

The vulnerability is reported in version 2.10.2 and confirmed in version 2.10.3. Other versions may also be affected.
