Description:
Avaya has acknowledged some vulnerabilities in PHP included in various Avaya products, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to bypass certain security restrictions, and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and HTTP response splitting attacks, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The following products are affected:
* Avaya S87XX/S8500/S8300 (version CM 2.2)
* Avaya Intuity LX
* Avaya Messaging Storage Server
* Avaya Message Networking
* Avaya CCS/SES (version 3.1.1)

Note: Reportedly Avaya S87XX/S8500/S8300 version CM 2.2 does not utilise PHP, and is only affected via a third party product.

Solution:
Avaya S87XX/S8500/S8300:
Upgrade to version CM 3.1.

Avaya S87XX/S8500/S8300, Intuity LX, Messaging Storage Server, Message Networking, CCS/SES:
The vendor recommends that local and network access to the affected systems should be restricted until an update is available.
