Description:
nuffsaid has discovered a vulnerability in Easynews, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the admin.php script, which can be exploited to evade the authentication process by passing some input to the "en_login_id" parameter.

Since administrators are allowed to edit the config2.php file, this can further be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.4.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that the authentication works correctly or disable "register_globals".

Provided and/or discovered by:
nuffsaid

Changelog:
