Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in castor, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "rootpath" parameter in multiple files is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by including files from local or external resources.

Examples:
http://[host]/lib/rs.php?rootpath=[file]
http://[host]/lib/code.php?rootpath=[file]
http://[host]/lib/dbconnect.php?rootpath=[file]
http://[host]/lib/error.php?rootpath=[file]
http://[host]/lib/menu.php?rootpath=[file]

Note: Reportedly more files are affected.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled and that support for ".htaccess" files is disabled.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.1.1 and version 2.0 RC2. Other versions may also be affected.
