Description: MLH has reported a vulnerability in Fedora Core, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the implementation of the squashfs filesystem. This can be exploited to cause a DoS by mounting a specially crafted squashfs image and performing a read operation on the mounted filesystem.
The vulnerability is reported in Fedora Core 5. Other versions may also be affected.
