Beschreibung:
Eine Sicherheitslücke wurde in Novell eDirectory gemeldet, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um einen DoS (Denial of Service) zu verursachen.

Die Sicherheitslücke wird durch eine fehlerhafte Verarbeitung eines Pointers in der Funktion "BerDecodeLoginDataRequest()" im Modul "libnmasldap.so" verursacht. Dies kann ausgenutzt werden, um den Prozess mit einem speziell präparierten Login-Request zum Absturz zu bringen.

Die Sicherheitslücke wurde in Novell eDirectory Version 8.8 und 8.8.1 gemeldet. Andere Versionen können ebenfalls betroffen sein.

Lösung:
Aktualisieren Sie auf Version 2.0.3 des "Security Services".
