|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in UPublisher, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "ID" parameter in viewarticle.asp and printarticle.asp and "Username" in login.asp is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows retrieval of usernames and passwords.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
Provided and/or discovered by: ajann and Paul
