|
|
Description: Tim Baker has discovered a vulnerability in TikiWiki, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the "pageAlias" parameter in tiki-edit_structures.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in an administrative user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.
Successful exploitation requires "tiki_p_edit_structures" privileges.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.9.6. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.9.7.
Provided and/or discovered by: Tim Baker
Changelog: 2006-11-30: Added CVE reference.
