Description:
Stefan Esser has discovered a vulnerability in Dotdeb PHP, which can be exploited by malicious people to send manipulated e-mail messages and expose sensitive information.

The "mail()" function adds a "X-PHP-Script" e-mail header with the PHP_SELF variable and other information. Arbitrary mail headers and body text can be added by including URL encoded CRLF sequences in the PATH_INFO part of PHP_SELF, when calling any Dotdeb PHP script that uses the "mail()" function.

Successful exploitation allows sending of spam mail or getting copies of sensitive information.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 5.1.6-0.dotdeb.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 5.2.0-0.dotdeb.3.
