Description

A security issue and some vulnerabilities have been reported in BaalASP Smart Form Portal Software, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information and conduct SQL injection and script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed to the "password" parameter in adminlogin.asp, to the "name" and "password" parameters in userlogin.asp, and to the "search" parameter in search.asp is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to the "title", "name", "groupname" and "detail" parameter in addpost1.asp is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected website when malicious data is viewed.

3) The security issue is caused due to the "database/baalsmartform.mdb" database file being stored with insecure permissions inside the web root. This can be exploited to gain knowledge of sensitive information by downloading the file.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised. Place the database file outside the webroot.
