Description:
Rhys Kidd has reported a vulnerability in l2tpns, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the "cluster_process_heartbeat()" function in cluster.c. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted heartbeat packet.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 2.1.21.
