Description: Jesus Olmos Gonzalez has reported a vulnerability in BlueSocket BlueSecure Controller, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "ad_name" parameter in admin.pl of the admin GUI is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a administrative user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in BSC2100 running versions prior to 5.2 or 5.1.1 without BluePatch-V5.1.1.1-6. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 5.2 or apply BluePatch-V5.1.1.1-6.
Provided and/or discovered by: Jesus Olmos Gonzalez
Changelog: 2006-12-08: Added CVE reference.
