Description: rgod has discovered a vulnerability in Sambar FTP Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the handling of arguments passed to the SIZE command. This can be exploited to crash the service via an overly long string (more than 200 bytes) composed of certain characters passed to the vulnerable command.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 6.4. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Grant access to trusted users only.
