Description:
Michael Meeks has reported a security issue in GConf, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The security issue is caused due to GConf not using a unique name to create a temporary directory to store certain information. This can be exploited to stop a user from using GConf by creating the corresponding directory before the user launches GConf for the first time.

Solution:
Restrict access to trusted people only.
