Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in opentaps, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "SEARCH_STRING" parameter is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Example:
http://[host]/ecommerce/control/keywordsearch?SEARCH_STRING=[code]

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.9.3. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Filter malicious character and character sequences in a web proxy.
