Description

Philippe C. Caturegli has reported two vulnerabilities in @Mail, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks or cross-site request forgery attacks.

1) Embedded script tags in email messages are not properly sanitised before being displayed. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when a malicious email message is viewed.

2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can e.g. be exploited to change other user's settings via a specially crafted image tag in an email message.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 4.51. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Update to version 4.61 (fixes vulnerability #1).
