Description:
Stefan Esser has reported some vulnerabilities in WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Certain encoded input (e.g. UTF-7) passed to the trackback feature is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that the "mbstring" extension be enabled.

2) Input passed to unspecified parameters in the administrator interface is not properly sanitised before being returned to an administrator. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected site.

Note: These vulnerabilities can be exploited to gain WordPress administrator privileges, which may allow the execution of arbitrary PHP code.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 2.0.6.

Solution:
Update to version 2.0.6.
