Description:
Michal Bucko has reported a vulnerability in MythControlServer, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within sendToMythTV() when processing commands from clients. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via sending an overly long (greater than 256 bytes) string to the server.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
