|
|
Description: DarkFig has discovered a vulnerability in @lex Guestbook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "lang" parameter in index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows retrieval of any username or password, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.0.2. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Provided and/or discovered by: DarkFig
Changelog: 2007-01-17: Added CVE reference.
