Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Kerberos, which can potentially be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of uninitialized pointers when the "mechglue" abstraction interface of the GSS-API implementation performs certain error-handling functions. This can be exploited to potentially execute arbitrary code via a specially crafted packet.

The vulnerability is reported in versions krb5-1.5 through krb5-1.5.1. Other versions may also be affected.
