Description: A vulnerability has been reported in HP JetDirect, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the ftp service of JetDirect when handling RETR commands. This can be exploited to cause a DoS by sending an overly long string as the pathname.
The vulnerability is reported in HP JetDirect running firmware versions from x.20.nn up to and including x.24.nn. Versions x.25.nn or greater are reportedly not affected.
