Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM AIX, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerabilities are caused due unspecified errors within various r commands (e.g. rsh, rcp, rlogin and rdist) and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow, which may allow execution of arbitrary code with escalated privileges.

The vulnerabilities reportedly affect versions 5.2 and 5.3.
