Description: Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Microsoft Office, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. 1) An error in PowerPoint when processing malformed records may result in memory outside intended regions being accessed when parsing placeholder data. 2) An unspecified error when processing malformed records may result in memory outside intended regions being accessed when parsing placeholder data. Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities allows execution of arbitrary code. NOTE: According to Microsoft, vulnerability #2 is currently being actively exploited via Excel.
